The Cheremshyna Ensemble has travelled extensively throughout Canada and the United States, appearing at major Ukrainian festivals and cultural events - New York, Chicago, Ellenville, Glen Spey, Vegreville, Dauphin, Toronto - to name a few.

The Ensemble has been enthusiastically received at many intercultural performances. They include “A Christmas Concert” at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, “The Alma-Italian Concert”, “The Drummondville World Folk Festival”, the twenty-fifth anniversary of “Les Sortileges” Dance Company of Quebec, “The International Night Series of Musical Concerts” on Long Island, New York, and “The Museum of Civilization Centennial Concerts” in Ottawa.

In Edmonton, in 1988, at the “First Contemporary Music Awards” honouring two decades of outstanding achievement in the Ukrainian recording industry, Cheremshyna was honoured with first place as the “Favourite Ensemble” in North America.

Cheremshyna has had the privilege of singing for such notable dignitaries as the Prime Minister of Canada, the Governor-General, and several ambassadors.

In 1989, the Senate of the State of Illinois adopted a resolution congratulating and commending the members of Cheremshyna for their “energy, talent and dedication to their heritage”.

“Those who wish to sing always find a song.”
